In this interview Govind Chandran, Subject Coordinator and Senior Lecturer for BA (Hons) Film, tells us about the importance of working on external projects and the benefits that students can get from the process. As a former Brookes student himself, Govind knows the importance of gaining direct industry experience and focusing on the needs of the students. Now a Writer and Director, Govind is able to use his independent projects to facilitate opportunities for students. A recent example of this is the award-winning short film that Govind made during the pandemic, in which current students were partnered with Brookes Alumni.
