Hi!  My name is Kim, I have been obsessed with books and stories all of all genres my whole life,  which is why, when I had the opportunity to return to studying after raising my family, I chose to complete a BA in Media, Journalism and Publishing. My aim is to work within the book publishing industry in some capacity – whilst my primary interest lies in the fiction trade market, I haven’t decided yet as I I am still learning and not ruling out any opportunities. At present I am also gaining experience volunteering on proofreading team for The Publishing Post (Twitter – @publishing_post)

On a more personal level, I am a married mother of three humans (ages 16, 20 and 22)  and two dogs, Dabby and Kenji. As well as reading, I also collect signed modern first editions, love music, films and anything supernatural and spooky and if you couldn’t tell by my picture – I hate having them taken!

I hope, in being part of Brookes Creative I can help other non-traditional students find their own path, to a new fulfilling creative career!
