In May 2023, we took part in the the 3rd International Creative Industries Festival organised by the Creative Industries Research and Innovation Network at Oxford Brookes University.
In collaboration with the Children and Young People Network and chaired by Dr Shelly Coe, the session introduces Samuel Conley, Outreach and Community Manager for the Creative Mentor Network, together with a mentor from the Soho Farmhouse Mentorship programme (Ellen Nicholson – Campaigns Specialist at Sanofi), who discuss the value of mentoring young creatives. Lucy Turner, Associate Dean of Education and Student Experience Employability Lead in the School of Arts, and Brookes Creative Student Partner, Katherine, talk about their experience of running a students-as-partners initiative to help connect creative industries with Oxford Brookes University Arts students.
